About Miranda Dawson

A City on a Hill is inspired by Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven”.

The logo for this site is a Lighthouse. A Lighthouse is a tall tower topped with a light as a beacon, guiding ships along their way. It is a aid of navigation and a symbol of safety.

My goal in my writings on this blog is to bring awareness to issues I have become passionate about. I have a passion for marriages, relationships, and how these important values effect our culture, social issues, and in essence our society.

I have a passion for America, the values this country was built upon, and in my writing I will stand up for her, her dignity, and her Godly roots that makes up the fabric of our beloved Country. I pray this site  is a beacon of safety and of truth to all.

The better we become, and the more we change ourselves, everything around us begins to change.

May this be your beacon of truth, hope and empowerment.

  1. Great information. I look forward to more of your posts. For things to get better, you have to get better (Jim Rohn). We spend more time planning our vacations than planning our lives.
